Bruton, Somerset
This fascinating project involved the complete renovation of a period country house in the popular Somerset town of Bruton. As it had not been touched for years it was, in many ways, a blank canvas.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Working closely with the client, we painstakingly planned and re-modelled the entire house to make it function perfectly for modern family life. The addition of a contemporary glass extension makes the most of incredible, far-reaching views to rolling hills.
John Yerbury managed the entire build, acting as architect and contractor. He introduced Bath-based interior designers, Woodhouse & Law, to complete the interior finish. Their design team took material and colour inspiration from these natural surroundings, including the large natural timber dining table and the green accent colours that feature throughout.
The result is a magnificent, light-filled family home with wow factor. It was a hugely rewarding project to deliver.
