Lansdown Road, Bath

Chosen for its elevated position and far-reaching views to Solsbury Hill and the Westbury White Horse, this site was special. Wyvern House and Bayly House were designed and built to exacting standards and were sold swiftly.

SITE LOCATION

On the upper slopes of tree-lined Lansdown in Bath these houses have views to open countryside but are a short downhill stroll into the UNESCO World Heritage City of Bath with its wealth of shops, restaurants, museums and galleries.

A high speed link to London Paddington and easy access to the A36, M4 and M5 made these houses particularly desirable, as did a range of private and state school options.

DESIGN CONCEPT

Built with natural rubble stone and traditional Bath stone facades, these houses appear to be two-storey from the front but the natural gradient to the rear allowed for an additional ground floor, with stunning views towards Solsbury Hill and Salisbury Plain from both windows and a balcony.

Extensive time was invested in their layout, design and detailing. Each had handmade kitchens, beautifully bathrooms, sound and lighting system and full height bespoke central staircase with glazed canopy which flooded the area with light. The interiors were designed by award-winning Woodhouse & Law.
